Making Color Holograms is Back!

Yes, you saw that correct, our full-color hologram kits are back!

After a lengthy hiatus, we are proud to say that full-color hologram-making with our Full-Color Hologram Kit is returning.  Take a look at the new full-color kit page, the video showing off the color kit, and other videos and pictures of some full-color holograms made with the kit.  We are proud to be back!

If it’s back, where did it go?

We first launched the Full-Color Hologram Kit idea in a successfully funded Kickstarter project.  It then took us almost a full year to fulfill our original backers, but it was glorious! And we were the first to ever provide something like this, where you could make your own color holograms right at home.

But it wasn’t easy.  It then took us another year to make the shift to providing the color hologram experience as a new stand-alone product.  It wasn’t easy.  Then our green laser manufacturer decided to skip town, with our money.  We then went through several different manufacturers trying to find consistent production that provided hologram-quality lasers.  It was not easy!  Finally, we thought, “Let’s just take a break, and see if anyone notices.”

The need for color…

We just keep getting e-mails and requests. “When is the full-color kit coming back?” After you make your first holograms with our regular Hologram Kit, your brain is usually on a kind of hologram-high, and you start thinking about all the other cool holograms you could be making, if you just had the tools.  And if seeing holograms in red is so cool, how do you get to color?

We know, we’ve been there.

And that’s why we had to find a way to bring color holograms back!
